Course 1: Sustainable Agriculture: Basic Principles and Concept Overview

What is sustainable agriculture?
What does it mean for farmers, ranchers and communities?
How does it relate to my role as an educator or researcher?

Now you can answer those questions and more, using this informative and readable online course. After completing the course, you will:

Work more effectively with clients
Develop research and education programs that address agricultural sustainability
Adapt models that worked well for others into your programming
If you're a certified crop adviser, earn continuing education units!

Sustainable Agriculture: Basic Principles and Concept Overview addresses the broad topics and issues of sustainable agriculture -- farming systems that are profitable, environmentally sound and good for people and communities. Students who want to explore topics in greater depth should follow the wealth of information links embedded throughout the course, and seek other educational opportunities in their states or regions.

REGISTER NOW for Sustainable Agriculture: Basic Principles and Concept Overview at the CECP online campus. To access the course, you must register as a student in the Cooperative Extension Curriculum Project (CECP) online campus.
